About Me

Hey, I’m Izzy — a cybersecurity enthusiast who enjoys figuring out how technology works, how it can be broken, and, more importantly, how it can be secured. My interest in cybersecurity started early with a curiosity about computers, games, and the systems behind them. After experiencing DDoS attacks myself, that curiosity became a genuine interest in understanding how attacks happen and what can be done to prevent them. Since then, I’ve continued building my skills through hands-on learning, cybersecurity competitions, personal projects, and plenty of experimentation. I’ve worked with technologies including Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, networking, and security tools, and I hold a CompTIA Security+ certification. I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer in cybersecurity-focused organizations, including helping develop and support CTF activities and teaching people in community centers and retirement homes how to recognize online scams and protect themselves. Outside of certifications and coursework, I like to learn by actually building things. Whether I’m working on a security project, experimenting in a home lab, or trying to understand why something works the way it does, I’m always looking for an excuse to learn something new. I’m currently focused on growing my skills in cybersecurity, IT, and network defense while continuing to build projects that challenge me to learn beyond the classroom.
